My needs are modest, and RawTherapee is the closest match I've found right now. I just want a tool for RAW conversion that isn't too heavy (or expensive) for the DNGs I take with the Mini 2. I was tempted to just stick with the RAW conversion tool built-in to macOS, but it is very limited. And IrfanView doesn't suit my needs neither. I looked at OnDigital, but it's a bit overkill for my needs. I did look at Darktable, and I do quite like it, but it's more of a library and management tool, and I don't want or need that (I have my own workflow for organising etc). Of course Lightroom is the de-facto go-to choice, but I just can't afford Adobe's pricing. I've tried out a few applications now, and settled on using RawTherapee. Hi, just a quick update on this, in case anyone is interested. If absolutely necessary, I can use a Windows laptop but. I'd just like some lightweight software that will let me perform the basic edits (exposure, white balance, highlights/shadows sharpening etc) on a DJI DNG file, and let me export the result to JPEG. They either won't open, else they do open, but have loads of strange artifacts present in the image. I love macOS and it does everything I want, except it can't properly decode DJI DNG files. Oh, I'm an Apple Mac person, and I use an M1 iMac. DJI, if you are listening, please make a simple plug-in that will let any software decode the DJI DNG format. Ideally, I'd just like a CODEC that will let me use my existing photo editing software. I'm looking at RAWTherapee but I'm not really keen on the UI. They make great software, yes, but I can't afford and don't want to get Lightroom or PS. Well, anything that isn't made by Adobe, anyway.Ĭan anyone suggest a good, preferably free, RAW converter that works well with DJI DNG files please? Problem I have is, I just can't find a good RAW converter that understands the slightly weird DJI DNG format. Now I've come to drones from a background in DSLR and MILC photography, so I'm quite familiar with RAW files (I always shoot in RAW+JPG on my Nikon) and was very pleased to see the Mini 2 supports RAW via DNG files. This image format is the same as raw images and different changes are stored in it, but with the difference that all changes are stored in the same rather than a separate train.Hi, I have a Mini 2, which I think is great, and capable of taking quite beautiful photos (I'm more of a stills guy, than a video guy). One of the good features of this program is the possibility of batch conversion by giving it a brochure or a batch of images and eventually, the converted lines will be saved in the place that you have formerly set.įor naming converted images, you can also consider templates for train extensions so that there’s no need to name individual lines. Another advantage of this videotape format is that it saves all the changes made to the print with the possibility of restoring those changes.ĭue to the advantages of this image format and the possibility of reversing changes, numerous people recommend converting ordinary-raw prints to this format so that they can be regressed to the original interpretation in the future.Īdobe DNG Converter 14 has a simple graphical terrain and the work of converting images to DNG format is done step by step and in the shortest possible time. This format was created numerous times ago by Adobe to regularize the raw format of images, and of course one of its major advantages is its lower size than other types of raw images. In fact, what Adobe DNG Converter does is convert lower-known raw images to a more well-known DNG format. Download Adobe DNG Converter 14 is software for converting raw camera images to the popular DNG format.
